**West-Ark Family Meeting**
Sunday, July 31 at 6:00 PM

We hold a special meeting for the entire West-Ark Family on the evening of every fifth Sunday.  The shepherds of West-Ark look forward to this communication.  Think of it as gathering around the family table for conversation about needs, opportunities, and other important items.  That's an appropriate description because after the meeting we will gather for a meal in the Family Life Center.

Every member at West-Ark is a partner in the mission and ministry of the West-Ark Church of Christ.   The Family Meeting is one of the best forums to discuss our work and life together with a majority of the church family present.  Do you have questions about our ministries?   There will be a chance for you to ask your question.  Would you like to know what plans and projects are lined up for the future?   Please come to the meeting and our shepherds and ministry leaders will share some of these with you.

Some of the ministries that will be sharing their plans and needs with us this Sunday night include . . .

• Gateway & F.L.O.C.K. children's education programs
• Connections Ministry
• Business Management Team
• Hispanic Outreach (Iglesia de Cristo)
• New Church Directory Project
• LIFE Groups (and the "LIFE Group Launch" in September)
• Children's Tutoring Program
• Quilting Ministry
• Car Care

There's always good discussion and something inspiring at the Family Meeting.   We need your input and involvement.  Please come take your place at the "family table" as we pray, talk, and dream with one another.

To Our Church Family:
We are so blessed to have Christian brothers and sisters from West-Ark as our extended family. I can't find words that sufficiently express the gratitude we have in our hearts for the love and care you were to us during my by-pass surgery.  Your prayers, visits, cards and gifts of love were such a blessing to all of us during this time.  Your support in being with Patti, Adriane and Todd during the surgery time was truly a blessing to us all. The prayer pager was just wonderful.  It also provided us opportunities to witness to others about the power of prayer.  May God richly bless you as you continue to serve in His Kingdom.  May our God be praised!
In Christian Love and Fellowship,
 James & Patti Anderson
 Todd & Adriane Martin

Dear Church Family,
I want to thank you for your prayers and support during the loss of my very dear sister, Helen Branum. Thanks too, for the delicious meal served before her service, lovely flowers, cards, calls and visits. Your love and concern are greatly appreciated.
 In Christian love,
 Louise Cline

Dear Church Family,
Thanks for your thoughts and prayers during my surgery. Having the prayer pager with me before and after the surgery was a constant reminder of your love and prayers. Thanks for your cards, calls, visits and food, but most of all, thanks for your prayers.
 Love and blessings,
 Ann Selig

Dear West-Ark Church Family:
Thank you so much for all the cards and words of encouragement you sent following the recent death of my father, Blaine Inman.  Your love and support were greatly appreciated during this difficult time. We certainly miss our West-Ark family.

**Family Life Ministry**
By Brad Pistole

It has been another great summer! I always enjoy looking back on all of the different youth events from each summer. It’s good to reflect on what we learned and how we grew spiritually as a group.

But the summer is not over yet! As I write this, we are knee deep in work camp and preparations for our Community Outreach Day that will take place this Saturday, July 30th. We are hosting the youth group from Woodward, OK this Wednesday – Sunday. They are also here to help serve.

After this week, we will all look forward to a short break. Vacation Bible School and work camp took place back to back. We will all be tired, but we are thankful to have given back to the community that has given so much to us.

We will have one more major youth event this summer: our youth and family trip to Dallas, Texas. We have 45 teens and adults signed up for the August 11th-13th trip.

The deadline for the $75 fee and release form is this Sunday, July 31st. Please be sure to turn that in by this weekend to reserve your tickets and your spot on the bus. This will allow us to get our final list to the hotel by their cut-off date.

Thanks for all of your help and service this summer. We have learned a lot through our times at Green Valley Bible Camp, the Heifer Project, VBS, and work camp. I look forward to our trip as we wrap up another great summer.
