**Guest Speaker for Sunday Morning!**
Mark Hooper | Facilitator for Asian Church Planting, Mission Resource Network

Mark and his wife, Debbie, were missionaries in Mumbai (Bombay), India, from 1985-1990, where they were active in personal evangelism, city-wide evangelistic campaigns and leadership training. Before coming to Missions Resource Network, Mark served for 16 years as Assistant Professor of Bible and Missions at Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tennessee. During his time there, he directed missions studies and coordinated Spring Break and summer campaigns to India, China, Thailand, Sri Lanka and the Philippines, as well as to locations in Africa and South America.

Mark received his B.A. from Harding University and a Masters of Theology in Missions from Harding University Graduate School of Religion. While in India, Mark obtained an M.A. in Anthropology from the University of Mumbai and lacks only the defense of his dissertation before receiving his Doctor of Philosophy degree.

Mark has served as the pulpit minister for congregations in Arkansas and Tennessee. He and Debbie have two children, Dennis and Kristen. Dennis recently spent a year in China teaching English at a university there.

Mark, thank you for coming!  Church family, see page 3 for our Missions Week Activities.

**Hope Chest Toy Collection**
The Hope Chest is collecting new and used toys for our toy giveaway in December. A container has been placed in the church foyer. With Christmas fast approaching, now would be a wonderful time to clean out your toy boxes and storage closets to make room for new toys to be received at your house this year. Please consider recycling those toys your children have outgrown by giving them to the Hope Chest for distribution.

**Hope Chest Volunteers**
You (and your spouse) are invited to an appreciation dinner to be held Thursday, November 16, at 6 p.m. in the Family Life Center.  If you can attend, please sign the sheet in the foyer. We would not have made it through this without your prayers. I know that for a fact in my heart. The prayers, the cards, the visits meant so much. I would hate to know I had to go through this without God in my life. Please continue to pray for our family.

Dear Brothers & Sisters,
We want you to know how deeply we appreciate all the expressions of your love and compassion through recent weeks in the illness and loss of our beloved father and husband. All your prayers, cards, hugs and words of encouragement have bolstered our souls. Thank you also for the contribution to Eastern European Missions in Bert Brown’s memory.
 Love,
Deborah Wilson for the Brown Family

Dear Church Family,
For all the wonderful cards that you sent me in regards to my mother passing away … they were all so beautiful and thoughtful. I really appreciate your love and concern at this time. In my growing up years, Mama was the best friend I had in the whole wide world. She loved me and stood by me when it seemed that nobody else would. We shared many secrets together. I always had an old rubber doll that needed an arm or the head put back on. Mama’s doll hospital was always open for business. I loved her very much. I love you very much and really appreciate your friendship and the love you have shown to me and my family, even though you didn’t know most of my family members. Thanks ladies for fixing the meal. I love you, West-Ark Church of Christ.  ~~Allie Whitaker

**Family Life Ministry**
By Brad Pistole

Here’s a reminder about two great events that are taking place this weekend for our 7th-12th graders and their families:

There will be a Sr. High Hayride (for 10th-12th graders), this coming Saturday, November 4th. We will meet at the church building at 3:30 and head north to Cedarville to the Prater/Davis Farm.

We had a great time this past Saturday night. About 30 Jr. High students and adults enjoyed a beautiful afternoon and evening together and we look forward to another great experience with the Sr. High on Saturday.

Everyone needs to bring $5 (bring a friend…it’s FREE for them). We’ll enjoy hot dogs, hot chocolate, chili, cheese dip, s’mores, desserts, and a great campfire devotional.

Finally, there will be a Jr. High devotional this Sunday night at the home of David, Sandy, and Eric Berger. We will leave immediately after Youth Worship and we will return to the building by 8:45 p.m.

Jr. High students need to bring a 2-liter drink with them. We will provide transportation to and from the Berger’s home.

So, whether you are in Jr. High or Sr. High there is something for you to participate in this weekend. Come join us and be strengthened and encouraged in your relationship with Christ!
