**Notes of Thanks**

Richard and I want to thank you for the cards, thoughts, and prayers for Angela Watkins in the sudden death of her husband, Ken. He was 47 years old. They have two children: Natalie, 18; and Broc, 11. Angela is the granddaughter of Chuck and Fran Evans.  We ask for your continued prayers in their time of need, for there is nothing like the power of prayer. We feel so very blessed having you, our brothers and sisters in Christ.
In Christian love,
Sandy & Richard Bandy and Families

West-Ark Family,
Thanks for the calls, hospital visits, cards, and especially your prayers.

**Van Drivers Needed**
Additional van drivers are needed on the seniors route. Contact Rod Jones if you can help with this good work.

**Coordinator Needed**
For the last 8 years (since 2000), some West-Ark members who do not have families coming for Thanksgiving have pooled their meals and enjoyed food, fun, fellowship, and games in the FLC on Thanksgiving Day. This year, we need someone NEW to step up to the challenge and joy of coordinating this get-together.  The Pratt Family or Berger Family, who have been past coordinators, will be happy to share “how they did it.”  Please call the office if you can help.

**LTC Sign Language **
All participants and their parents, please meet at the front of the Auditorium after morning worship for a short meeting.  If you have questions, see Lynn Dickey or Melody Priester.

**Attention Ladies!**
Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 15th.  We’re planning a Ladies’ Prayer Breakfast at 10 AM in the FLC. Bring a breakfast casserole, sweet rolls or beverage, and your prayer list. See Melody Priester if you have questions or would like to help.

**Hope Chest Announcements**

“Batteries ARE Included”
Remember the phrase, “batteries are NOT included”  in Christmas toy catalogs? Well, for toys at the Hope Chest, batteries ARE included!  This Sunday, Nov. 9th, we will be taking up contributions to help buy batteries for the toys given to children at the Hope Chest Toy Giveaway.  The goal is for all toys to be in great shape and ready to work on Christmas morning!  Some of our teens will be in the foyer after Sunday morning service to collect donations -- or you may give your money to Farrell or Lucille Graves. Thanks so much for your continued help in this project.  ~~ Connye Neal

We need coats for everyone -- all sizes.   Cold weather is coming! Please check your closet and put your donations in the large container outside the Library.

Devotional at the Coles' // This Saturday, November 8
Michael and Jeannie Cole have invited the Senior High students (10-12th grade), 20-somethings and LFCs over to their house this Saturday from 4:30 to 7:00.
Dr. Bob Lawrence (our Missions Sunday speaker) will lead a Bible study, "WHEN GOD SAYS WAIT -- How does a follower of Christ prepare for life's work?"  Dr. Cole heard him present this topic at a seminar a couple of years ago.  He says those who come will be truly blessed.
We'll start in their courtyard at 4:30, eat around 5, and start the Bible study in the house before dark.  Everything will wrap up by 7:00.

There is a map to the Coles' house (7410 Oxford Place) at www.theColeFamily.com/colemap.gif
**We will not have transportation from the church. Please plan to meet at the Coles' house at 4:30 PM this Saturday.**
If you are planning to attend, please let the Coles or Jackie Sofio know; that way they know how much food to prepare.
