**Jim Wilson Resigns As An Elder**
Due to a work schedule that keeps
me from too many assemblies and the fatigue that comes from night shifts mixed
with all the others, I am reluctantly resigning from the eldership. I look
forward to a change in my work circumstances that in the future will be more
conducive to serving again.
I have truly been blessed by the time I have served this congregation
and have thoroughly enjoyed serving with the very good men you have as
elders.
~~Jim Wilson
**Guyana Medical Mission**
The 19th annual West-Ark medical mission trip to Guyana, South America, is
soon to commence. These 17 West-Ark members will be part of a 27-member
team: Sandra Anderson, Sandy & Eric Berger, Michael & Missy
Blasdel, Azia Blasdel, Michael & Jeannie Cole, Nick Dalton, Roy & Joyce
Dunavin, Colleen & Jessica Frost, Treva Hill, Connie Hixson, Nancy James,
and Trenton Schien.
Medical care and eyeglass fittings will be provided to hundreds of people
at the Clay Brick Road Church of Christ building in the village of Canal Number
Two. Bible teachers will invite each patient to sit and study the Gospel
message while waiting to see the medical workers. There will be preaching
each evening.
The team is scheduled to depart from Fort Smith on American Airlines flight
3654 at 5:55 a.m. on Saturday, June 6. Lord willing, they plan to return
to Fort Smith on American flight 3653 at 9:45 p.m. on Sunday evening, June 14.
Please remember in your prayers every team member and this evangelistic
effort.

**4-Week Series on Sunday Mornings**
Giving is an essential part of what it means to be church. Heartfelt
generosity and adventurous acts of service are associated with church.
However, giving and churches are also associated with the work of televangelists
whose interests seem less noble. For better or worse, giving and faith
seem to go together. Even our un-churched culture is familiar with the
Scripture, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” (Acts 20:35).
But why do we give? What is the connection between faith and
giving? What are we supposed to give? How much should we give?
How exactly are we blessed by giving? What if we cannot give and instead find
ourselves receiving? Let’s spend some time imagining what it means to
give. Let’s look at it like never before . . .
May 31 - “Giving In”
June 7 - “Giving Out”
June 14 - “Giving
Up”
June 21 - “Giving Away”
