**2011 Missions Contribution Report**
The West-Ark congregation continues to be very generous in
our efforts to spread the Gospel around the world. The elders and
the missions committee are very appreciative of the generous contribution and
pledges for the 2011 efforts of assisting Kingdom service.
The missions committee met this past second Wednesday of
the month (as is our custom) and discussed and prayed about these
efforts. Since the contributed funds fell short of the budgeted needs for
the coming year (missions contribution goal -- $225,153; cash given -- $93,585;
pledges -- $62,930), we have made adjustments to our budget. West-Ark can
only provide John Carson with $10,000, which with other contributions, leaves
John $16,000 short of his budgeted needs. We solicit your prayers regarding each
of the efforts of service.
We will meet again on the second Wednesday evening in
January, 2011, in the church library at 8:15 PM and would welcome any member of
the congregation who would like to attend.
In Christ’s service,
James Word
for the Missions Committee

**In Our Thoughts & Prayers**
• Allen Mobley (Christy Puckett’s cousin) seems lucid at
times, other times very confused. He is in therapy several hours a day and
progress is being realized. Thank you for the prayers on his and his
family’s behalf (especially mother and wife).
• Pray for healing for Deanna White as she recovers from
pneumonia (fluid) around her heart.
• Glenn Gilley’s carotid artery surgery was canceled.
Additional scans showed only a 40% blockage which can be treated with
medication.
• Joe Ragsdale (brother-in-law of Becky Grist) has several
kidney stones and will have a surgical procedure.
• Myra Flippo-Puckett’s recent CT scans showed no improvement
on the malignant bile duct cancer and some worsening in other areas.
• Raymond Boatright of Roland, OK (grandfather of Adina
Boatright) is continuing his recovery at home following a stroke.
• Will Abernathy (2 year old nephew of Kristy) and his family
are preparing for Will’s 3rd round of chemo therapy.

Overcomers Outreach would like to thank the congregation,
ministers and elders for their support. We had 18 people at our group last week
and 16 at our group this week, with 3 new guests. It has been a privilege
to be a part of such a good ministry and also rewarding. Our prayers still
go out to the Alexander and Gardenhire families and friends. We also
invite any Overcomers in our congregation or community to join us Tuesdays at
6:45 PM in the Annex.

these great classes!

Tonight we will be having our annual Christmas

rest “first come, first served.” Group 1 will go to the Owens (appetizer),
the Cogswells (salad), the Hankins (main course/gift exchange) and then the Gym
hosted by the Walkers (dessert). Group 1 drivers are Risley and Staci
James. Group 2 will go to the Huffs (appetizer), then the Hesslens
(salad), the Browns (main course/gift exchange), to the Gym (we need another
volunteer to help) to join the OTHER group. Group 2 drivers are David
Berger and Sandy Berger. NOTE: Drivers should be prepared to drive
personal vehicles if a church van is not necessary for your group.
