**A Visit With Dr. Robert Whittaker**
The West-Ark congregation is blessed to participate in the
evangelistic and medical ministry of Bob Whittaker and his family. Bob,
his wife, Annette, and son, Ozi, now live in Jos, Nigeria, where they continue
their decades of work with Nigerian Christian Hospital and with schools,
congregations and service projects in Southeast Nigeria. Bob is currently busy
treating the wounds of Nigerians injured in the Christmas Eve terrorist attacks
in the Jos area.
Bob will visit with us here on January 23, 2011, after
attending the International Health Care Foundation’s medical missions seminar in
Dallas on January 21 -22. During the seminar, Bob will be a presenter and
will be the keynote speaker on Friday evening, January 21. With us on
Sunday morning, January 23, Bob will speak during a combined class, and on
Sunday evening Bob will participate in a discussion with Chris regarding the
Whittakers’ service in Nigeria and other places in Africa.
The medical missions seminar is recommended to all interested
in evangelism through medical outreach. At the seminar, congregations,
organizations and individuals among the churches of Christ display and present
information regarding existing and planned medical based evangelistic efforts
around the world. Please consider attending. Contact Jerry Canfield, Michael
Cole, or Jim Wilson for further information.

Thank you for the peace lily and for thinking of our
family at this time in our lives.
The Family of Betty Ruth Barnard
The trip to Laos & Thailand was filled with more
excellent tales than I was able to tell in a one-page letter. As one preacher
there said, we got to see “flowers who had blossomed in the night” and those who
were “like a rare bloom which had been hidden deep in the forest, rarely seen by
man.” We saw their beauty as they worked for Christ and we praised God.
Thank you for making it possible for me to go and receive such blessings! I am
so grateful!
Love, HC
