**Good News from The Hope Chest**

In 2010  the Hope Chest had 8,459 family visits that involved 27,973 individuals. A family might have come every day we were open, so that number is not 8,459 SEPARATE FAMILIES, it is visits.  The same is true with the number of individuals served -- some may have been there every day. A family visit could involve a single person, a family of 15, or any number in between.   The number of individuals is up by 2,500/3,000 from last year.

In looking over our records for the year, November stands out as a particularly busy month.  Most days that month 80-90 families came to the Hope Chest.  On one day, 124 families consisting of 360 individuals were served.

A special thanks to the dedicated volunteers who make it possible for the Hope Chest to be of service to so many residents in the Fort Smith area.  We continue to be grateful to West-Ark members for contributing clothing and household items for us to distribute.  We appreciate those individuals who have given money for the purchase of new socks and underwear for our clients.

More volunteers are always needed.  We especially need additional computer operators.  If you are interested in helping in this way, please contact Bill Walker. If you are interested in helping in other areas, see one of the team leaders -- Dale Mason, Tuesday; Betty Moreton, Wednesday; or Glenda Lewis, Thursday.   Please consider being a part of this ministry where volunteers so willingly serve Him and others and enjoy fellowship with each other while doing so.

We DESPERATELY NEED clothing for boys and girls -- sizes 4 through 16 and long-sleeved shirts for men.

**Notes of Thanks**

Dear church family,

I am so thankful for your loving concern during my recent surgery. I am doing even better than I expected to and getting back into the swing of things.

               May God bless us all.

               Russ McConnell

Dear church family,

I am so grateful for your prayers. The Lord began to give healing and answers to my questions when you began to pray!  I am recovering, but it may take a while. Your words of comfort and encouragement have been a balm to my spirit.

               With Christian love,

               Debbie Belote
