**In Our Thoughts and Prayers**
• ALLEN MOBLEY made great progress last week -- he began
talking and eating! This was a bright ray of hope that his family
needed. Please pray for his continuing recovery.
• ANETIA LIVESAY requests prayers as she begins a new
treatment.
• JACK HARRIMAN had open-heart surgery on 3/1/11 in Little
Rock. He is doing well!
• ALICE ROGERS is in Ashton Place (Barling), room 203 for
extended rehab.
• BURNIE MORRIS has been diagnosed with myeloma. (See
the note of thanks from Burnie & Daisy on page 3.)
• ELEANOR CASEY has moved to Covington Court, room 112. She
would enjoy visits but requests none in the mornings as she is BUSY with
therapy.
• GLEN WILLIAMS (Barbara Aldridge’s brother-in-law) has moved
to Pink Bud Nursing Home in Greenwood.
• MARY BROYLES is having some heart problems, and will have a
test this week.
• MARY ANN SCHOLLE has been moved from ICU to room 7012 in
St. Vincent’s Hospital in Little Rock. Please continue to pray for her
complete healing.
• MYRA FLIPPO-PUCKETT has increasing weakness and nausea.
Pray for comfort, strength and encouragement for her.
• PHILLIP WHITE is getting a skin graft on 3/4/11. Please
pray for his continued healing.
• The FAMILY OF MICAH RINE request your prayers daily during
the week of March 7 – 12. Micah (age 25) was killed almost two years ago, and
the trial for her murder begins March 7. Her brother, Casey Rine writes:
This trial is not about the pain that the Rine family is experiencing. This
trial is about drawing attention to a loving God we serve and an amazing young
lady who was His servant.

**Bereaved in Prayer**
• Our love & sympathy is extended to Bill Coffelt in the
death of his mother, Bobbie Bautsch, on February 28th in Houston, TX.
• Our love and sympathy is also extended to Hazel Richards
and family in the death of Hazel’s brother, Melvin Avery on March
2nd.

**Attention Joy Bunch**
Please join us for a fish fry to be held on Saturday, March
19 at 6 PM in the FLC. The fish will be provided by the Hankins family and
prepared by Hankins and Turpins at the building. We ask that you bring
side dishes that accompany fish. Some suggestions would be coleslaw, salad,
French fries or other potatoes, hush puppies, and of course, desserts. Should be
an evening of great fellowship and great food.

Dear Members,
We appreciate the cards, calls, and visits on behalf of
Burnie’s illness. He has been diagnosed with myeloma, and we are waiting to have
a bone marrow test done. We have to wait on this in order to determine what
treatment he will need. We are so blessed to have a church family praying for
us!

**Welcome, Blessed Baby!**
Congratulations to Bill & Lynn Dickey. Their second
grandchild, William Edward Russell, was born March 2 to Laura & Eddie
Russell in Texas. The baby weighed 9 lbs., 1 oz. His big sister
Olivia is delighted with her baby brother!

WAYG Class – Sunday, March 6, 9:30-10:30
AM
We’ll have a combined Sunday AM class as we continue to
discuss what it means to be ALL IN! Come with an open heart, an open mind,
and your Bible! Let’s make 2011 the year where everything changes in our
lives!
Bulgaria Mission Trip Meeting – Sunday, March 6, 2011, 4-5
PM
Mark your calendars as we continue our preparations for the
summer mission trip to Sofia, Bulgaria!! We’ll meet in the Youth Group
room. You should have your fund-raising list, letter and copies of your
passport, if you have it. Bring all your questions and if you went last
year, please bring any pictures you have handy to share with the
group.
Honduras Mission Trip Meeting – Sunday, March 6, 2011, 5-6
PM
Don’t miss this FINAL meeting prior to our trip. We’ll
meet in the Youth Group room. Bring your handouts from the last meetings,
as well as your passport (so we can make copies), your “Why I Want To Go To
Honduras” letter and all outstanding money. Please pray for our
groups. We have a group that will be on the trip from March 12-19 and a
second group March 19-26, 29 students and adults in all. Pray that God
will use us to make a difference to the people of Honduras.

makes their way to Greenwood, AR to have great food, fun, and a devotional at
the Huffs’ home. We’ll leave from the building at 6 PM sharp and be back by 9
PM. PLEASE bring $3 to help cover food costs, bring your Bible and a

SNL @ Pleasant Valley – Sunday, March 13, 5:30-8:30

For those who are not out of town on Spring Break or in
Honduras on the mission trip, SNL will take place at Pleasant Valley.
We’ll leave from and return to the church building at the above
times.
Hope Hesslen came in 5th place in Ethics at the regional FBLA
conference. She will compete in Little Rock on the state level in April. Several
of our Junior High students were initiated into the Junior National Honor
Society this week. Way to go everybody!
