Bulgaria 2011 - Your Support Needed

Our Youth Group is leading another team to Bulgaria once again this summer. To make this possible we need your help. Please pray for our group's safety and that God will work through us in ways we cannot imagine. In addition to prayers, we need your help financially. We hope to continue to build upon what we began last summer and fulfill God's will! If you are able to donate, please make checks out to West-Ark Church of Christ and mail to the church at 900 North Waldron Road, Attn: Rick Odell, Fort Smith, AR 72903-1407. Donations are tax deductible. If you have any questions, please contact Rick. Thank you and may God bless us as we attempt to carry out His Great Commission.

Heart to Heart Baby Bottle Campaign

If you did not get a baby bottle last week, please pick one up from the bassinet in the foyer. Fill it up with loose change, cash, or checks and bring it back on or before Father's Day, June 19. All donations will go towards Heart to Heart Pregnancy Support Center, a Christian pro-life  ministry dedicated to helping young girls, women, men, and families who are experiencing a crisis pregnancy.

Notes of Thanks

Would like to thank everyone for all the thoughts, prayers and cards sent on the loss of Betty.  We are so blessed to have a wonderful church family.

Tom Porter

God answered all of your prayers. Lance's operation was more of a success than the doctor had thought possible.  Next he will go to rehab and try to get his balance back. He will also have to learn to walk again without his cane.  Please continue to pray for him. Thank you for all of your prayers. We love you all!

Lerene Haines and the Haines Family

Thanks so much for participating in the Scarf Drive. With your help, we collected around three hundred head coverings. The drive was inspired by two friends of mine whose lives have been greatly affected by their struggle with cancer.

Thank you again for your donations,

Britt Mounce

Seniors & Incoming 7th Graders - Sunday, May 15

Honor to whom honor is due... passing the torch from one generation to another... Today is the day we honor this year's Graduating Seniors and the new incoming 7th graders.  Near the end of today's service, our Shepherds will present a gift to honor our Graduates and our Graduates will, in turn, present a gift to the new students in the youth group.  Please note:  We have placed baskets out in the foyer near the Youth Group bulletin board for the Seniors for your convenience if you have a gift you would like to give them... today is the last day these baskets will be displayed.

Senior Party/Banquet - Sunday, May 15, 6-8 PM

We are hosting a party to honor our graduating Seniors.  All WAYGers, parents of graduating Seniors and others interested are invited to attend this event to be held upstairs in the youth group room.  We will have lots of finger foods, a video with music and an opportunity for folks to speak words of blessing to our Seniors, and for our Seniors to do the same.  This is a free event!

The Journey - Wednesday, May 18, 7-8 PM

We continue our study based on the book, "Radical."  Bring a Bible, bring a friend and be ready for God to challenge you!

Incoming 7th Grader Party/Parent Meeting - Wednesday, May 18, 7-8 PM

Next year's Senior class in the WAYG will be hosting a party in the High School portion of the youth group room to honor our incoming 7th graders!  At the same tme, in the Jr. High School room, parents of all incoming 7th graders and any other families new to the youth group in the past year are asked to attend a special orientation meeting.
