Outreach
to Tsunami Refugees in Japan
Greg &
Tiffany Null, working through the Tohoko (Japan) Relief
Homestay Program, are seeking to provide college-age
tsunami refugees an opportunity to visit here next
month. The 4-week trip will provide students some
relief from the conditions in the Fukushima province in
which they are currently living. Many of the
students have experienced the loss of multiple family
members as well as their home. They are coming
from a non-Christian environment, so this will allow
them to see how we all live, work, and worship.
They will also receive English-speaking classes while
they are here in Fort Smith.
We received
$1500 last Sunday - thank you! We are hoping to
receive additional funds for three students, which means
about $4,500. The deadline for contributions is
Sunday evening, July 10. If you would like
to help, give your check or donation to Greg or
Tiffany Null.

Applications have been
mailed out for this incredible mission trip. It is open
to EVERYONE at West-Ark from our new 7th graders and
older (including adults). Cost is $150 per
person. Applications are due July 10, 2011 so pick
one up from the hanging files in the foyer next to the
Youth Group bulletin board or from Rachel in the church
office. You will NOT want to miss out on this
great opportunity to serve others.
