Blue Jeans Weekend
October 15-16
"Love Without Limits"
*wear  *share  *care

Wear your jeans to worship.  All workers who are signed up for a project are invited to the Family Life Center (gym) for lunch after morning worship.

Bring the blue jeans you've been collecting for the Hope Chest. A container is in the foyer for your donations.

If you haven't already done so, choose one of the projects listed on page 3 and sign the list in the foyer.  There are openings for projects on Saturday and Sunday --  plenty of opportunities to serve!

Also this year, there are two new food and/or supply drives to participate in (lists are on page 3):

A House of Prayer for All Nations
The twelve flags displayed this year represent Belgium, Bulgaria, Honduras, Ethiopia, Japan, Laos, Thailand, Guyana, Nigeria, Vietnam, Tanzania, and the United States.

As you assemble for worship over the next few weeks, take a moment to pray when you see these flags and notice the display.  Let them be a reminder that we are God's house and his desire is for us to be a house of prayer for all nations.  - Isa. 56:7

Youth Group / News
Youth Group - Sunday, October 9, 2011, 9:30-10:30 AM
We had a fantastic study and discussion about some of the barriers that keep people from following Christ. Don't miss this week as we continue to find what God has planned in advance for all of us to do!

Honduras (Spring Break Mission Trip) and Bulgaria (Summer Mission Trip) Meeting, October 9, 2011, 12:30 AM-2 PM
Our second preparation meeting for both trips will take place following morning worship until 2 PM.  Hopefully, you'll have time to go grab some fast food and bring it back to eat during our meeting.  Applications for both trips and a $50 non-refundable deposit per person is due on October 9 (at this meeting).  You will NOT be able to go on this trip if you do not turn in these items at that time.  See Rick if you have questions about this trip.

Sunday Night Live (SNL) @ Robinson Avenue - Sunday, October 9, 2011, 4:30-8:30 PM
We'll be heading to Springdale to the Robinson Avenue church for this month's SNL.   Join in as hundreds of teens from around the area praise God together in song and hear a challenging message from His Word.  They'll have free food following the event.  Come be a part of this awesome event.

Youth Group - Wednesday,  October 12, 2011, 7-8 PM
We will continue a special series of messages about what the calling that God has given us as Christians looks like in YOUR world!  Bring yourself, a Bible and a friend!

Blue Jean Weekend - Saturday & Sunday, October 15 & 16, 2011
We want to encourage the ENTIRE WAYG to get involve in Blue Jean Weekend. We still need a lot of workers on Saturday, October 15 and Sunday, October 16th. On Saturday, there are projects in Van Buren and Greenwood. On Sunday, the projects are in Fort Smith. We would like to get all age groups involved. Sign up NOW at the tables in the foyer.

Family Clusters - Sunday, October 16, 6-8 PM
Join in this fast-growing mix of all of the geographically-distributed youth group families from your area.  We'll share our experiences from Blue Jean Sunday with each other.  Clusters are a great way to build relationships with Christian brothers and sisters that live in your area (and maybe even find a car pool contact for your youth group student!).  NOTE:  If you do NOT know what Cluster you are in, send Rick a message via email, Facebook or text and he'll let you know.  Fort Smith Central - Kleman, East Fort Smith - Null, South Fort Smith - HOST HOME NEEDED, Greenwood - Odell, Van Buren/Sallisaw/North AR - HOST HOME NEEDED.

MOVE Advance - Friday-Sunday, November 11-13, 2011
Look for applications for our annual "retreat" coming soon... except we call it an Advance!  Mark your calendars for this weekend... we will have nearly ALL of our WAYGers in attendance!  We are still in need of 3 people to help with Saturday night dinner at the church building and we are still in need of 6 host homes.  Please let Rick or Rachel know ASAP if you can help.

Happy Birthday!
