Notes
of Thanks Thank you so very much to
those who enabled us to make our mission trip to
New England this year. The brethren we met with
there were very thankful for Peter's messages (I
and II Peter) which encouraged them to keep on
keeping on. Without your help and prayers we would
have been unable to go. We love all of
you! Russ and Jean
McConnell
Dear
West-Ark, Thank you for the donation
to the library in memory of my sister, Margie
Jafari. She loved to read, so this donation was
very fitting! I appreciate the cards, notes,
Facebook messages and kind words the members of
this church have sent to me. This is a very loving
congregation. Diane
Arnold
Dear Family, I
have no way to describe how grateful I am to have
been blessed by the efforts of Blue Jeans Weekend.
The help provided to wash my log house and cut the
dead trees was so wonderful. What a blessing the
crew was to me. Thank you to them, to the Elders
for their guidance, and to the entire church
family for their support.
Karen Carter
Laundry
Love Gives Thanks Thank you so much
for your donations to and support of Laundry Love
Ft. Smith. In October, we provided 16 individuals
with 33 loads of clean laundry! We appreciate your
support and ask for continued prayer that His
Kingdom be glorified through this outreach
project. Our next Laundry Love will be on Friday,
December 2.
Missions
Offering The second offering on Sunday
morning is to fund our Missions Program in 2012.

HO!!
HO!! HO!! The 2011 Hope Chest Toy
Giveaway is drawing near!
The 2011
Giveaway will be held again in the Family Life
Center on December 10 from 10:00 AM until 1:00
PM. Last year over 400 people were able to
choose Christmas gifts for their children. The
Lord was blessed by your efforts, and it was great
fun working together toward a common goal.
Thanks to all who participated.
The
Giveaway enables the West-Ark congregation to use
our varied talents to show a servant's heart to
our community. There are many ways to
contribute. Everyone has a "spot" here!!
Following is a time line of the events leading to
the Toy Giveaway.
November 20 to
Dec. 4 Dress a Doll -- Members can take
a doll that needs a little TLC and make it pretty
again.
Dec. 4
-- Youth Group works on goodie bags and other
projects at the CURE warehouse.
Friday, Dec. 9,
10 AM to 6 PM Help put out the toys at
the Family Life Center
Friday, Dec.
9 -- Bring cookies to the Family Life
Center from 10 AM until 6 PM to feed the shoppers.
Dec. 10, 9:30
AM -- Participate in devotional for
West-Ark workers.
Dec. 10, 10:00
AM to 1:00 PM --- Hope Chest Toy Giveaway
begins and people are needed to assist and check
out shoppers. In past years, all ages have
joined together to offer help and lots of
Christmas spirit.
Dec. 10, 1:00
PM-? -- Clean up Family Life Center after
the event. Many workers make for a fast
clean up, and we were finished by 2:00 last year.
The Giveaway grows each year because of
the great folks at West-Ark. So whether by
fussing over a doll, baking cookies, working on
toys, helping shoppers, or your prayers, your
participation is vital to its success.

We had a FANTASTIC start to our study of

we talked about procrastination and forgetting

Christ. Let me encourage EVERYONE to take a
break in the middle of the week... set aside the
busyness of homework, extracurricular activities,
etc and come join God's family and be refreshed!
