Praise &
Harmony Worship Seminar
Friday, November 18,
7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Saturday, November 19, 1:00 - 5:30
p.m. Sunday, November 20, 9:30 a.m. - mid
afternoon
David was a man after God's own
heart. He was able to praise God uninhibited in a way
that was a blessing to him and to lovers of God throughout the
ages. The upcoming Praise & Harmony Worship Seminar,
November 18 - 20, at West-Ark Church of Christ will help each
of us no matter where we are in our spiritual worship
experience. The weekend has something for everyone:
- For those who are observers of others worshiping God,
these sessions will provide you the opportunity to become
full participants in the worship experience. Learn
skills that will make singing to God a pleasure and a
heart-filled experience.
- For those who find they are self-conscious in their
worship, this is the opportunity to develop the skills to
become God-conscious in worship.
- For those who feel fully engaged in the worship
experience, this is an opportunity to sharpen skills, learn
new songs, enjoy the classics, and share fellowship with
other Christians while lifting voices to God.
Many
of us find worship at West-Ark to be a good experience.
But good can always be taken to great when everyone's heart is
fully engaged in lifting voices in praise to God, expressing
thanksgiving and encouraging one another. Imagine our
auditorium filled with people using God's greatest instrument
of music - the human voice - to sing His
praises!
Is there a stirring deep within you?
Is He calling you?

elders

Good News from Blue Jeans Weekend The
dictionary may not agree, but to me a hero is an ordinary
person doing ordinary things in an extraordinary way. We have
seen some "heroes" lately. Thank you to all who
participated in Blue Jeans Weekend. Because of you, we helped
those who could not help themselves -- from members here at
West-Ark, to women who daily confront inner struggles, to
families in distress, to the homeless, to children who go to
bed hungry, to the smallest of God's creatures -- you STEPPED
UP! You gave up your weekend time to bless others.
You sawed, hammered, painted, trimmed, mowed, weeded, planted,
mulched, cooked and CARED. Because of you, we collected
over 160 lbs. of food for the Children's Backpack Program and
over 250 lbs. of supplies for the Sebastian County Humane
Society. Thank you to the behind-the-scenes heroes who
coordinated each project. We could not have done it
without you!
To
those "heroes" who donated for their dinner at Fall Festival,
we collected $427.20 and two grocery carts full of supplies to
benefit the Food Pantry and Laundry Love. You made it
your mission to do something for someone who can never repay
you. Be aware that your good deeds have not gone
unnoticed or unappreciated. We are humbled by your
kindness and forever grateful. God bless you
all.
Glenda Lewis & Linda Davis
Thank
you, thank you, so much for all the wonderful work that my
brothers and sisters did for me on Blue Jeans Weekend. To Jack
and Bill for replacing and repairing wood and whose payment
was poison ivy. To David, Stan and Wendall and all the
wonderful volunteers who painted and worked to give me a brand
new looking house on the outside. To Big John and Kelvin
who replaced my floors and gave me a new looking house on the
inside. To Travis who gave me new lights so that I can see all
my new blessings. Thank you, my cup runneth over!
I
love you all. --Carlene

- Wednesday, November 16, 2011, 7-8 PM Wow. We had
a FANTASTIC start to our study of "Roadblocks to Making A
Difference" last week as we talked about how we need to not
look back, allowing our past to define our identity and keep
looking forward, allowing Christ to become our identity.
Let me encourage EVERYONE to take a break in the middle of the
week... set aside the busyness of homework, extracurricular
activities, etc. and come join God's family and be refreshed!
Bring yourself, a Bible and a friend!
