INTERDEPENDENCE

During Jesus' time on this earth, He modeled something we all need -- we need each other. As soon as Jesus began His public ministry, He called together a group of twelve men and formed a small group. For 3½ years He spent a majority of His time with these 12 men ministering with them and to them as He taught them what the Kingdom was all about. He listened to them. They laughed together, cried together, and experienced times of joyful highs but also moments of despair. Jesus modeled ministry in this way as He taught the 12 to establish and build His Church on this earth.

Because of our own personal weaknesses, blind spots, limited capabilities, and lack of experience, none of us are fully equipped to live a high quality of life as "islands unto ourselves." This all points to a general principle: "The Christian lifestyle is one of interdependence, not independence." When we are connected to others … feelings of isolation dissipate. That is why the small group ministry at West-Ark has been established, and it will play an indispensable role in Christian growth. Small Groups connect people relationally ... for the purpose of growing in Christ-likeness.

The Small Groups are a place where we accept one another and truly care for each other. If you would like more information about our Small Group Ministry at West-Ark, please see Ron Lenderman, Joe Pistole or Ted Edwards.

See you in Bible Class, right?
