FORGIVES US TO FREE US

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. ~~Romans 12:2

Even though you are a Christian, do you find yourself constantly feeling unworthy and undeserving of God's blessings? Have you ever wondered why some people move toward a higher spiritual plane while you never move ahead?

I've been thinking that one of the reasons we might be feeling inadequate is because we fail to understand that when we come to Christ in obedient faith, He forgives us and sets us free. The New Testament is filled with stories about how Jesus gave a fresh, new start to individuals who had responded to Him. Remember it was Jesus who said in John 8:11, "Then neither do I condemn you. Go now and leave your life of sin."

Although He has forgiven us, sometimes we fail to renew our minds as it states in Romans 12:2. We may need to change our way of thinking as we shed the ideas of the "old man" and become the "new man" that Christ intends for us to be.

On Sunday mornings this next quarter our adult classes continue in the Servanthood study with God's Servant is a Steward. As Christians we understand that everything we have and everything we are is from God and belongs to Him, but how do we live the lifestyle of a good and faithful steward? Christian stewardship is a way of life that doesn't come easily or naturally. If you are not in the habit of attending Bible Class on Sunday morning, this next Sunday would be a great time to begin as we start our new quarter of studies.

See you in Bible Class!
