WHETHER JOY OR PAIN

As the year 2000 comes to a close and we begin a New Year, you don't have to look very far to realize that we're all at different stages of life. Some of us are celebrating the Holiday Season filled with joy -- while some of us have an ache in our heart. Some of our families have grown as we welcomed new babies into this world but there are other families who have experienced the loss of a loved one. Many of us have experienced transitions in our life this past year in so many different ways that would have been impossible to predict as we began 2000.

There is not a single one of us who can know for sure what this next year of 2001 will bring, but I am confident of this fact, "Jesus is ever present and very aware of everything happening in your life."

If the joy is there, soak it in and enjoy it. If the pain is there and you feel in the dark -- picture the Lord next to you, surrounding you, so that you may sense His presence. Jesus is always there for you and He loves you. He is not sleeping. As a matter of fact, He is working day and night on your behalf to fulfill all He has ordained for your life. Rest and enjoy all the good that He intends for you. Whatever you may be experiencing at the present time, know that this too shall come to pass, and then looking back, you will marvel at His faithfulness.

I am thankful for the countless blessings that I experience because you are my forever family and God is our Heavenly Father.

See you in Bible Class!
