Our Friend Day at West-Ark is just one week from now, Sunday, May 6. The
success of Friend Day lies within its simplicity. Every member inviting
their friends, neighbors, and co-workers to join us for worship on May 6.
The last few weeks our leadership has set the pace, and we have announced
the number of friends our Elders, Deacons, and Bible Class Teachers have
coming with them on Friend Day so far. The strength of Friend Day is that
everyone is inviting their friends, neighbors, relatives, etc. In other
words, this is not just something that a few of us are doing, the entire
church is involved inviting people that we already have relationships with
to come and be a part of our special day. And it is the leadership of our
congregation that is taking the lead by inviting their friends and
encouraging the entire church to become involved.
This Sunday, every member of our congregation will be asked how many secured
commitments we have for Friend Day. The total amount of people that we are
expecting will help us determine how many parking spaces to reserve and how
much extra seating to provide in the auditorium. West-Ark families are asked
to drive only one vehicle to services that morning, if at all possible, and
also park at the far end of our parking lot. It is hoped that you would
either invite your friends to your home for a meal or go out to eat with
them after services on May 6.
We have a wonderful opportunity to reach out to our friends in a
non-threatening way as we invite them to Friend Day. May God lead us to
receptive and responsive people as we invite people to worship with us on
Sunday, May 6, Friend Day at West-Ark.
See you in Bible Class!
