40 DAYS OF PRAYER

Did you know that there are over 850 individual references to prayer in the Bible? The text of over 650 specific prayers can be found in the Scriptures with the recorded answers to 450 of them. I'm convinced that God is able to hear and answer our prayers.

This Sunday Morning, our Bible Classes (7th grade - Adult) will have a coordinated study for one week on the subject of Prayer.

Also, beginning this Sunday, January 6, we are encouraging the entire congregation to join together for "40 Days of Prayer."

Why 40 days? It seems that the number 40 is spiritually significant in the Bible.

Our 40 Days of Prayer at West-Ark has the power to revolutionize our congregation as individuals and families are spiritually strengthened. When our prayer life grows deeper, I'm convinced that our eyes and hearts will be opened even wider to help us accomplish His will. Our personal and corporate congregational life will then become fuller and richer as we become closer to one another and to Him.

This has the potential to spiritually impact the West-Ark Family more than anything we've ever done in the history of our congregation.

Make plans now to be in Bible Class this Sunday morning (Jan. 6) as we study the subject of prayer. Then make a commitment to pray for the revival and renewal of our congregation during the next 40 days. May the Lord bless our efforts as we grow together in prayer!

See you in Bible Class!
