One-A-Chord

      One-A-Chord was an a cappella singing group comprised of ladies from the West-Ark Church of Christ in Fort Smith, Arkansas. The group was formed in the spring of 1987 for West-Ark's annual Ladies Lectureship. One-A-Chord later performed for the elderly, numerous banquets, parties, singings, and other ladies lectureships. With many in the group becoming involved in other ministries and some moving away, the women did not sing together as a group after 1992.
      Their first cassette tape, Rejoice and Sing, was professionally recorded in 1989. Because of the local popularity of the first tape, I Found Happiness was recorded in 1991. In 1999 a CD was produced which contained all 28 songs from the two cassettes, almost 60 minutes of singing. The cassette tapes and CDs sold out and are no longer available. All the songs are now free to download as a collection of MP3 files {51MB One-A-Chord.zip}.
      One-A-Chord's aim was to show God's love to others through song. If their singing is still enjoyed today, then the group's efforts continue to provide a ministry to others.
