Teachers: you spent three months challenging thinking, stretching minds, and advancing faith in Christ. You were not "filling time" on Sunday mornings. You did not want your students to be "filling time" on Sunday morning. Your goal is to increase the faith and understanding of your students. Your goal is not achieved by "exposure" but by "retention." Today your class should share what they have learned. Today you listen to what they have learned. Today you allow them to give you the evidences of "retention." Retaining what they learned will build faith and change lives.
For your personal preparation, review the twelve lessons. Note your increased biblical understandings. Be prepared to share, but share only if it is necessary to begin or advance their discussion.
Examine each of the twelve lessons studied this quarter. As you reexamine each lesson, look for a truth, a principle, or an understanding that was new to you. You should look for things that improved your understanding or advanced the accuracy of your knowledge. These should be thoughts and understandings that increased the insights of your faith in Christ. Remember: the purpose of all Bible study is to increase knowledge, understanding, and insight. When those things occur, faith grows and matures.
