West-Ark Youth
LEADERSHIP TRAINING FOR CHRIST
(LTC)

April 9-10, 2004
"Stand Firm"

During the weekend of April 9th-10th, over 125 elementary students, teens and their families from West-Ark went to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to participate in Leadership Training for Christ (LTC). This event, for 3rd to 12th graders, helps students develop several different kinds of leadership skills. Our students participated in events like: service projects, drama, puppets, chorus, scripture reading, song leading, sermon delivery, etc. They also learned how to prepare bulletin boards, banners, Christian art, radio messages, Internet pages, etc. Some students even learned how to sign for the deaf. There are so many great things to do at LTC. Best of all, this event is not just about one weekend. Students participate in pre-convention events and they prepare for regular convention events up to 6 months in advance. We are thankful for the leadership abilities an event like this helps develop in our young people. We pray that the church and the lost will benefit from an event like this for years to come.
